On October 12, 2009, homeschool father, attorney, author and speaker, Chris Klicka, went to be with the Lord after a 15-year struggle with multiple sclerosis. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers continue for the Klicka family, even as we rejoice that Chris is now with the Father, unhindered by pain and immobility.
The Bible says it is good to honor those who have gone before us. Chris Klicka is one such person for the homeschooling community. Many of the freedoms we now enjoy and the passion that many of us have for true biblical homeschooling emanate from the seeds sown by this disciple of Christ. The testimony given in this month's Keeping Focus is but one example of many who have been touched by Chris' life and work. It is a powerful witness that the Klicka family can know that he held forth the word of life, is rejoicing now before Christ, that he did not run in vain, neither labored in vain (Philippians 2:16).
